A dynamic and high-calibre Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is being recruited for a high-growth technology company of approximately 100 employees with revenues of £15 million. This pivotal leadership role involves managing all aspects of the company's finacial operations while driving the company's ambitious goal of becoming a £100M+ revenue business in the coming years.

As CFO, you will be an integral part of the leadership team, partnering closely with the CEO, the wider business, and the Board to guide th company's financial strategy. You will play a crucial role in influencing key commercial decisions and driving the business's long-term growth objectives.

Reporting to the CEO, key responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Leadership: Oversee and manage all financial functions, ensuring the company's finances align with strategic goals.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with the leadership team and Board to support the delivery of company strategic initiatives, influencing a range of commercial decisions.
  • Investment, Financing and M&A: Support the company's strategic decisions on third-party investments, financing, capital raising initiatives, and potential mergers and acquisitions, all aimed at supporting the company's growth.
  • Risk Management: Monitor and manage risks related to cash flow, capital allocation, resource deployment, and accounting compliance, providing the senior management team with the insights needed to make informed decisions.
  • Best Practice Implementation: Lead the development and implementation of financial processes and frameworks that support the company's rapid scaling and future growth.

The Person

  • Qualifications: A Qualified Accountant with a minimum of five years of senior finance leadership experience in a sector such as technology, engineering or software.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical acumen, with experience in partnering with CEOs to drive strategic and financial objectives that foster organic growth.
  • Commercial Acumen: A highly commercial and innovative mindset, with a proven track-record in leading capital raising initiatives and ideally exposure to M&A projects.
  • Leadership skills: Significant experience of building and leading high-performing teams, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Effective communication: Excellent communication skills, ability to convey complex financial information clearly and succinctly, and collaborate effectively across functions and all levels.
  • Relationship building: The ability to build strong and effective relationships at all levels and imbed oneself into the business and its culture quickly.
