Our client, a leading social housing provider in Swindon, is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Customer Service Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality support and assistance to tenants, ensuring their needs are met promptly and effectively.

Customer Service Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Handling customer inquiries and complaints via phone, email, and in-person, providing accurate information and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Assisting tenants with various service requests, including maintenance, repairs, and tenancy-related matters, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of customer interactions and transactions in the customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Coordinating with internal departments and external service providers to facilitate prompt and efficient service delivery.
  • Conducting follow-up communications with tenants to ensure their issues have been resolved to their satisfaction.
  • Providing support to the team in developing and implementing customer service policies and procedures.
  • Handling administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and document preparation, to support the smooth operation of the customer service department.

What we're looking for:

  • A strong passion for providing excellent customer service, with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role, ideally within the social housing or public sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems, including CRM software and Microsoft Office.
