Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Global Buyer for Facilities Management to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage and optimise the procurement of Repairs & Maintenance materials and services, ensuring seamless and cost-effective operations. The successful candidate will have

What you'll do:

As a Global Buyer for Facilities Management, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimising the procurement processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and optimise the procurement of Repairs & Maintenance materials and services
  • Define and implement the Facilities Management procurement strategy across Europe
  • Facilitate all procurement category needs; from total cost reduction, improving the quality of supply, mitigating supply base risk, and promoting procurement good practice
  • Drive engagement and work collaboratively with the Operations and Facilities Management stakeholders
  • Deliver best value procurement by analysing market intelligence, budgets, supplier spend & costs
  • Manage risk levels across the supply base to keep safe & protect colleagues, guests and suppliers
  • Consider the overall ESG impact of the supply chain in order to support ethical, compliance and sustainability targets
  • Develop key supplier relationships, monitor key supplier performance, and ensure service level agreements & KPIs are met

What you bring:

  • Solid background in purchasing a wide range of goods & services, predominantly within Hard Facilities Management
  • Experience of working within a European or multi-territory organisation
  • Strategic mindset within a commercial environment; Ability to draft & issue Invitation to Tenders to suppliers; analysing tender documentation
  • Good understanding of contract law with in-depth experience of negotiating high value contracts
  • Ability to work within in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment
  • Well organised, flexible and strong emphasis on accuracy & detail
  • Strong communication & developed influencing skills; with an ability to "take people with you"
  • Comprehensive analytical & PC skills
  • Supplier Management - proven track record of influencing suppliers to get the "best deal"
  • Ability to develop supplier relationship management standards, and monitor supplier & contract management processes to ensure all suppliers meet our ethical and compliance standards
