Service Operations Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Service Operations Manager to join a company in Leighton Buzzard. The working hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

The Services Operations Manager is predominantly an office-based role with both internal and external
stakeholder interaction. The role is focused on ensuring both the efficient and effective administration and
management of the internal SC, in addition to providing extensive operational support to the regional Service
Centers and Network Stations.

This role requires strategic thinking and attention to detail, working in collaboration with, and in support of, the Regional Manager. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, whilst managing multiple projects simultaneously are essential. Experience of working in the cold chain, logistics and the transportation industry is preferable. This position ensures that all standard operating procedures are being adhered to, staff is qualified, established goals are accomplished, and safety policies/procedures/guidelines are being followed.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Operationally support and lead queries for the SC & NS.
  •  Operationally support Customer Deployment programmes in SC & NS.
  •  Operationally support New SC & NS Orientation Programmes
  •  Ensures adherence to SC's process.
  •  Analyse process to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  •  Monitor deliverables and ensure timely completion of tasks associated with projects.
  •  Provide back-up and support to the Global Material Planner for the region.
  •  Review and validate SC & NS invoices.
  •  Create month end summaries for EMEA Customer invoice.
  •  Validate invoices for Customers monthly.
  •  Champion Health and Safety compliance.
  •  Perform other related duties as necessary.
  • Develop &/or update and implement necessary Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, forms, or any other relevant documentation to support new customer deployments.
  • Coordinate the transition from Deployment to Ongoing Service Operations Oversight.
  • Collate and produce month-end reports for Account Managers (when required).
  • Monitor and review adherence to agreed protocols to ensure data integrity and correct process usage by

SC's & NS's. This includes reports, application reviews and other relevant documentation (as appropriate).

  • Review and validate paperwork submitted by SC's and NS's and align with application.
  • Support Change Management Process for any application changes or updates within the region.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years' experience in operations or related role
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
  • Attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • To have the ability to identify and solve problems in a timely, creative manner.
  • To complete projects within specified time frames.
  • To be customer focused and sensitive to customer needs.
  • Maintain a 'hands-on' style, willing and capable of taking a lead role where appropriate.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (if any)

  •  Minimum 1 years' experience in operations/supply chain at a supervisory or management level.
  •  Proven experience working with a formal ERP system and in a regulated environment.
