Salary: £37,000 to £40,000 per annum + overtime (£44,000+ per annum)

We are a leading provider of repair and maintenance services for systems, plant and equipment on various educational sites. We are looking for a Building Services Engineer to join our team on a full time, permanent basis.

What will you do as a Building Services Engineer:

As a Building Services Engineer, you will work Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with the opportunity to earn extra income through overtime. You will also join the on-call rota, which is approximately every 6th week (paid extra).

You will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out routine PPM and reactive tasks throughout the building, and suggesting areas for improvement
  • Swiftly resolving plant faults and defects, and ensuring suitable spares are available
  • Providing parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works
  • Completing and submitting all relevant paperwork regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works to the contract administrator
  • Preparing and using Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks to ensure safe working practices
  • Providing a safe and healthy working environment for yourself and others

To be a successful Building Services Engineer, you need to have:

  • At least 5 years of experience in building services
  • City & Guilds Electrical or Mechanical qualifications
  • Experience working with / on PPM's, FCU's, BMS, 3 Phase power supply, AHU's, Chillers, Water treatments
  • Experience working within an educational / healthcare or another client facing environment (preferred)
  • A professional appearance and good interpersonal skills, as this is a client-facing role
