AV Systems Designer - London - £40,00 to £60,000

We are working with a leading Audio-Visual Systems Integrator with who has over 30 years' experience in the industry.

The Senior AV Systems Designer Role will be part of the Projects team. The role is responsible for supporting the Sales, Pre-sales and Projects team throughout the life cycle of a project, from conception to delivery.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Sales/Pre-sales Support

  • Assist Sales as a Consultant on projects requiring high level technical and design knowledge
  • Work closely with the Pre-sales department to ensure that all designs operate as they should before hand over to the Projects team
  • Work alongside the Technical Director and Company Directors on technology and the direction it is taking to future proof the business

Design standards

  • Possess thorough and comprehensive knowledge of AV design and engineering
  • Relevant industry experience ideally with appropriate technology qualification
  • Expert in creating scalable AV CAD drawings
  • Design & specify Audio Visual systems including schematic production
  • Provide M&E, architectural & IT information to the professional team on the AV design
  • In depth knowledge of IT & AV system design. High level of computer literacy including MS Office
  • Responsible for reviewing current company design standards and implementation of new agreed methods and standards, ensuring all designers adhere to the agreed standards

Design Manager

  • An irrefutable track record of producing detailed AV drawings (layouts and schematics) and working with architectural drawings. Overall responsibility for drawing production, standards and management
  • Experience of Audio-Visual Design in Residential, Hospitality and Commercial Markets
  • Develop the in-house design team to agreed standards for documentation and delivery
  • Managing the design team on a day-to-day basis.
  • Managing design workload to ensure designs are completed to company standard and delivered on time.
  • Mentoring CAD operator to grow AV skills and knowledge (e.g. CTS)
