Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be working on behalf of our client to recruit a talented Reconciliations Officer to join their established and dynamic finance team.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Performing weekly POS reconciliations, ensuring transaction accuracy and completeness
- Carrying out monthly client cashbook reconciliations, including thorough bank reconciliations and prompt investigation of discrepancies
- Preparing and submitting client payments using our secure banking system
- Conducting daily reconciliation of cashbook items and submitting daily direct debit requests
- Liaising with internal departments to resolve financial discrepancies quickly and effectively
- Ensuring all work is compliant with internal financial controls, policies, and procedures
- Maintaining organised, audit-ready financial records
Experience & Qualifications:
- At least 2 years' experience in financial reconciliation or accounting roles.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Smartbill, NAV) and Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Solid grasp of accounting principles, particularly reconciliation processes.
Skills & Attributes:
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skill
- Strong communication abilities, with the confidence to explain finance to non-financial stakeholders
- Ability to prioritise and manage high volumes of data efficiently
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a can-do attitude
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
