My client are the world leaders in the research, development and manufacture of complex RF and Microwave applications for a range of leading markets. They now have an excellent opportunity for an experienced RF IC Design Engineer based in Essex. The company offer an excellent working environment, great benefits and hybrid working options.

Responsibilities RF IC Design Engineer based in Essex include:

  • Circuit design, implementation and verification of complete sub-systems for sub-6G RF ICs.
  • Strong understanding of basic concepts and theories in Analog and RF design, such as mismatch, linearity, stability and noise.
  • The design of RF front-end, PA, LNA, Mixer, OSC, PLL LO, VGA, Filter, TIA, or other baseband modules in BiCMOS and/or RF-CMOS processes.
  • Contributing to the development of the test plan and ASIC characterization.
  • Designing blocks such as LNAs, Mixers, filters, high speed multiplexer, divider circuits, bias circuits, bandgap, fractional N PLL, etc.

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Master's degree or PhD in a closely related field; or proven industry track record
  • Experience of IC design experience
  • Expertise with Cadence Virtuoso tools and version control
  • Silicon experience of SiGe Bipolar and CMOS technologies
  • Successful track record of right first-time silicon
  • An understanding of design for manufacture
  • Working knowledge of IC layout techniques in a Cadence Virtuoso environment
  • Expertise with EM tools
  • Familiarisation of ESD protection techniques
