Adecco Northumberland are looking to recruit FLT for our well-established manufacturing client based in Gateshead.
Job Description: As a Forklift Truck Operator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse and production facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to safely and skillfully operate a forklift to move materials, load and unload trucks, and contribute to the overall logistics and supply chain processes.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a forklift to transport materials within the warehouse and production areas.
- Load and unload trucks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist in the organisation and management of warehouse inventory.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill production and shipping requirements.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on the forklift and report any issues promptly.
- Follow established protocols for handling and storing materials.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Truck Operator in a warehouse or manufacturing setting - counter balance/reach.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and the ability to operate a forklift safely in various conditions.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in material handling.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift/move heavy materials.
- Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as needed.
