Description
- Lead and manage the procurement process within the mechanical field.
- Develop and implement mechanical purchasing strategies.
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand for mechanical services and products.
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking for mechanical components.
- Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers within the mechanical industry.
- Negotiate contracts and improved prices and terms of business with suppliers.
- Work collaboratively with other departments within the company.
- Ensure compliance with the company's policies and procedures.
Profile
A successful Buyer (Mechanical Focus) should have:
- Excellent understanding of mechanical components and their market conditions.
- Educated to a Degree level
- Strong negotiation and networking skills.
- Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent decision-making and analytical skills.
