Sales Administrator Bredbury Up to £28,000 DOE Full time office based with early finish on Fridays 33 days holiday including bank holidays
Job Summary: Elevation are working with a well known manufacturing business who are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Sales Administrator to support their sales and commercial teams. The role will be responsible for managing customer data, processing orders, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring smooth communication between various departments. You will play a key role in maintaining customer relationships, processing quotations, and supporting the production control process.
Key responsibilities of the Sales Administrator:
- Customer Data Management: Input new customer data into the ERP system, setting up new customer accounts, and processing new customer applications.
- Quotation Handling: Process and add customer requests for quotations, compile drawings and specifications, and maintain accurate records of all quotations.
- Sales Order Processing: Use the ERP system (EFACS) to create, maintain, and update sales orders. Ensure that all customer purchase orders are processed in a timely manner.
- Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding RFQs, project updates, and order status. Proactively reach out to customers for additional information as needed.
- ERP System Maintenance: Add parts to the ERP system and ensure accurate structuring of bills of material, including verifying part numbers.
- Contract Review: Assist with the contract review process, ensuring compliance with internal standards and non-technical requirements.
- Coordination Across Departments: Communicate and collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure that all sales orders and related information are clear and complete.
- Work Orders & Allocations: Create and maintain work orders in the ERP system and manage allocations as required.
- Engineering Change Note (ECN) Processing: Receive, process, and coordinate Engineering Change Notes (ECNs) across relevant departments.
- Variation Order Requests (VOR): Collate and submit Variation Order Requests to customers for approval, and update sales orders accordingly.
- Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks, such as compiling documentation, sending RFQs, and contacting suppliers for updates.
- Continuous Improvement: Support the development and improvement of company procedures, standards, and quality in accordance with BS EN ISO 9001 and AS9100.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations in all tasks and activities.
- Customer Satisfaction: Maintain and enhance customer relationships by ensuring that customer needs are effectively communicated to relevant teams and expectations are met or exceeded.
Required skills of the Sales Administrator:
- Strong proficiency with ERP systems (experience with EFACS is a plus).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail, particularly in data entry and order processing.
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively across different teams and departments.
