Project Officer x 2

Posted by National Trust.

Summary

The National Trust plays a pivotal role in connecting people with nature, beauty and history. At the heart of our strategy is a commitment to providing great experiences, ensuring our places and collections are more relevant, useful and deliver more benefit to more people across the nations we serve.

This role is based in the national Experience Development team, who set the direction for the future of visitor experiences and visitor programming, and lead the Visitor Experience job family. This matrix team works across all areas of the organisation to establish a truly shared direction and priorities for delivery of visitor experiences.

Internally known as Experience Development Officer - Project Officer.

These are fixed term contracts due to end when the previous employee returns from secondment. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than past 31-May-2025.

What it's like to work here

We're bigger than you think, we're more complicated than we appear and we're larger scale than you'd imagine.

We've got passionate people in all our teams, and we've got so much more we want to achieve.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview. Typically, your time would be split between our Head Office, working from National Trust and partner locations across the UK and home or your local National Trust office.

What you'll be doing

You'll support the Experience Development Managers to identify and develop opportunities for new experiences and programmes that will grow and diversify existing and new audiences for the National Trust. This will involve scoping market opportunity, reviewing and commissioning audience insight and pulling together proposals.

This role also supports the Head of Profession and Visitor Experience Engagement Manager to develop and implement ways of engaging with the wider Visitor Experience job family. For example, one area that this role will support is Innovation in Programming. This work is designed to identify, test and develop new opportunities for the future of visitor programming across the National Trust.
