My client in the Hemsworth area require an experienced Machine Operative.
Responsibilities
- Maintain full awareness of any new developments.
- If deadlines/timelines are not going to met, to advise line manager immediately as this will have implications to the production timeline and the associated job/project.
- Be aware of stock levels within the business at all times and report any potential shortfalls to line manager.
- Ensuring that all equipment is in good working order at all times.
- To undertake maintenance and servicing to indoor soft play areas and outdoor play equipment.
- Maintain a clean, efficient and organised workstation at all times.
- Establish good working relationships and open communication with work colleagues and peers.
- To comply with all legal requirements in respect of GDPR, health, safety, welfare and HR policies and procedures.
Experience and skills
- Confident use of power tools, band saw, chop saw and hand tools.
- Read and understand 2D and 3D drawings.
- High level of manual dexterity.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Organised with the ability to work to deadlines and timelines.
- Ability to take instruction and measurements whether by verbal, by drawings and apply to the production.
- Be able to react quickly to changing methods of production when necessary.
- Be able to adopt new styles and techniques.
- Training will be provided to fully understand our manufacturing products (vinyls, foams, wood, plastic, etc) and techniques.
- Able to communicate at all levels within an organisation.
- Positive team player and efficiently working directly with other members of the team.
- Full drivers licence preferred but not essential due to location of company's premises, doing customer deliveries and driving to customer premises.
