Business Support Administrator

I am recruiting for a niche industry leading SME who are located in Birchwood, Warrington. My client is looking to recruit on a Fixed Term Contract basis a Business Administrator to cover a period of maternity leave. The FTC will be for 12 months and is part time hours ideally 16-20 hours per week. The salary will be based on an FTE salary of £30,000 - £34,000.

The Business Support Administrator will ensure the smooth operation of the business and office environment. Reporting directly to the Business Manager, this role is pivotal in managing a variety of key administrative tasks, from sales administration and general office administration to maintaining management information and upholding the use of the CRM system. The ideal candidate will be robust, highly responsive, and able to manage and prioritise a diverse workload.

Duties:

  • Manage supplier purchasing, including raising requisitions, generating POs, and tracking payment progress.
  • Coordinate facilities management, including cleaning services, general office maintenance, and security.
  • Handle petty cash and maintain accurate records of receipts.
  • Provide general administrative support, such as ordering stationery and submitting utility meter readings.
  • Take full control of the sales invoicing process, ensuring compliance and protecting commercial needs.
  • Manage Terms of Business production, record-keeping, and version control.
  • Assist with contractor management, including the creation of contracts for new starters.
  • Extract and present reporting data from CRM and sales spreadsheets.
  • Maintain and update Excel spreadsheets and manage commissions.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Solid commercial office administration experience in a professional environment.
  • Experience managing demands from a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel, with the ability to create mathematical formulas.
  • Experience in collating information and data to produce reports.
  • Proven reliability in owning administrative responsibilities.
  • Interaction with stakeholders face-to-face, over the phone, and via email.
