Family Solicitor

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Family Law Solicitor to join our clients team.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for family law and a strong desire to advocate for clients navigating difficult personal circumstances.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of family law matters and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients on various family law matters, including divorce, child custody and support, domestic violence, adoption, and prenuptial agreements.
  • Conduct initial consultations with clients to assess their legal needs and develop tailored strategies to achieve their goals.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including petitions, agreements, and court filings.
  • Represent clients in family court proceedings, mediation sessions, and alternative dispute resolution forums.
  • Advocate for the best interests of children involved in family law cases and ensure their voices are heard.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal professionals to provide holistic support to clients and achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Stay updated on changes in family law statutes, regulations, and case law to provide informed advice to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing family law, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Strong knowledge of family law statutes, procedures, and court rules.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with clients and build trust.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and complex legal matters with professionalism and discretion.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with the ability to effectively represent clients in court and alternative dispute resolution settings.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or specialized training in family law.
  • Experience representing clients in high-conflict custody disputes or complex property division cases.
  • Fluency in languages other than English to better serve diverse client populations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to pro bono or community service work in the field of family law.
