Full time: Monday-Friday 7:45AM-4:00PM
Rate from £12.00PH
The successful post holder will perform scheduled quality evaluations on incoming components/materials and materials within the production process. Control the release of components/materials to ensure that only those that meet acceptable quality standards are released into and out of the production process. Record and report any non-conformance and ensure containment of non-conforming components/materials.
Responsibilities:
- Test and evaluate processes, products, components and materials in accordance with company quality standards
- Identify, contain and produce non-conformance reports for all processes, products, components and materials that fail to meet quality expectations
- Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records
- Maintain inspection gauges and equipment to the standard required for accurate quality measurement
- Participate in internal and external audit activities as required
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing setting.
- Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to quality.
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications to understand the requirements of components and materials
- Ability to measure component dimensions, examine functionality and compare to specifications
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System and its requirements
- Good mathematical and technical skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
