Your Impact and Responsibilities...

Customer-Centric Insights: Promote data-based decision-making by providing clear and impactful insights into our customers' behaviours and motivations.

Trend Analysis: Proactively identify trends, threats, and opportunities from multiple data sets to drive actions within relevant teams.

Strategic Initiatives: Inform and evaluate strategic initiatives, including category development, pricing, promotions, and new category launches.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with the Customer and Market Insight Manager to support Trading and Marketing teams, advising on the appropriate use of data and analysis to achieve buy-in and a common understanding of insights.

Category Strategy: Embed key customer and category insights into category reviews and strategies, including pricing evaluation.

Marketing Insight: Continuously deliver insights to the Marketing function to inform activities and communications.

Project Management: Own and manage specific insight projects, including primary research and customer analytics.

Tool Development: Support the development of tools and capabilities to ensure easy access to insights across the business.

Storytelling: Translate complex data analyses into compelling stories with clear actionable insights for stakeholders.

Skills and Knowledge...

Data Literacy: Strong understanding of how to convey the story behind the data.

Communication: Exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication skills.

Influence: Ability to influence at a senior level and build strong stakeholder relationships.

Problem-Solving: Adaptable, curious, and able to solve big questions with a commercial mindset.

Organisational Skills: Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work under changing time and resource constraints.

Technical Skills: Excellent Excel skills are essential.

Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach with a bias for action and a desire for excellence.

Positive Attitude: A passion for customer satisfaction with a high level of drive and resilience.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: A degree or relevant academic qualifications/workplace experience.

Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of multi-channel retail, FMCG category management processes, and external markets/competitors.

Experience: Previous experience in a Research agency, FMCG, or retail business. Experience with multiple data sources (EPOS, Panel, pricing, web analytics, survey data) and external data sources (Nielsen, Kantar, etc.).

Analytical Skills: Proven ability to turn complex data into actionable insights and contribute to high-value, strategic projects.
