Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant - Billingshurst, West Sussex
Working for one of the premier care home providers in the UK, you will be working in their stunning care home in Billingshurst, West Sussex. The purpose built 56-bedroom home provides residential, nursing and dementia care for elderly adults with a person-centred approach and is approximately a 20-minute drive from Horsham. To join their team in the kitchen we are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Porter on a full-time or part-time basis who will play a crucial role in ensuring the residents receive high-quality meals and that they meet their dietary requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare food under the Head Chef's supervision.
- Assist with food delivery and service as needed.
- Understand and communicate dietary needs to the Head Chef.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and a professional appearance.
- Promote and protect the welfare of service users.
We are seeking an individual with:
- A fun and happy outlook on life who can work well under pressure in a busy environment.
- Previous catering experience, ideally in a care home or hotel.
- Able to commute daily to Billingshurst, West Sussex on a daily basis
- Happy to work 40 hours (4 shifts) over a 7-day period or Part-time 2/3 10 hour shifts per week.
