About the Team
EIG Customer and Communities' team vision is to build a culture where customers and communities are at the heart of what we do, continuously improving and aligning the way we interact with our customers and work with our communities, making it easier and better for all.

The team consists of three key areas; Customer Excellence, Digital Customer Experience and Community Engagement. We work closely with colleagues throughout the directorate, providing support and ensuring that customers are a key part of decision making and designing the services we deliver. A key priority for the team at the moment is the SCC Customer Transformation Programme which is a variety of customer focused projects, intended to transform the way we interact with our customers.

About the Role
This is an exciting role that has opened up within the Customer and Communities Team within the Environment, Infrastructure and Growth (EIG) directorate. You will be expected to support both the Customer and Communities Manager and the Customer and Communities Project Officer in improving both resident engagement and customer ethos throughout EIG, therefore experience in customer services and responding to customer enquiries is required.

Working in a project focussed team, you will be highly organised, confident in the co-ordination of projects and able to produce and maintain project documentation. Working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders across a diverse directorate will be part of the day to day work in this role, therefore effective communication will be key. You will be analytical, be able to carry out research and benchmarking and have a keen eye for presentation. In addition, responsibilities will include administrative support such as organising meetings, facilitating workshops and updating documents.

Shortlisting Criteria
To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

  • Experience working in a customer focussed role, demonstrating a passion for providing customer excellence
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and build strong relationships to achieve objectives
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • High level administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, plan and work using your own initiative
  • An analytical and methodical approach to information gathering, recording and reporting
  • Experience with designing and updating Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint documents to a high standard

The job advert closes at 23:59 on 18th August 2024 with interviews to follow.
