A successful Shropshire-based company dedicated to helping businesses grow is looking for a Marketing & Communications Assistant to join the team in Bridgnorth. This is a full-time role (part-time considered for right candidate), offering a salary of up to £25,000 per annum and generous holiday entitlement.

Your time will be spent at home, out and about, and at the offices in Bridgnorth, so you will need to be able to reasonably commute.

As Marketing & Communications Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in planning, production, and oversight of the execution of marketing and communications activities including media, promotions, website, and marketing collateral to support the place work supporting towns.
  • Developing materials to deliver the organisation's messages to the target customer groups, the public and the media
  • Developing relationships with, and providing training to individual businesses to support High Street contracts
  • Managing the development, production and distribution of promotional collateral
  • Assisting in the development and overseeing implementation of the communications and marketing calendar to ensure timely execution of campaigns
  • Using the contact management system, email marketing software and social media platforms to create and send emails, newsletters, news, blogs etc
  • Conducting research and finding resources to help make decisions about event possibilities
  • Serving as liaison with vendors on event-related matters
  • Delivering 1-2-1 training and support to individual businesses

We're looking for a Marketing & Communications Assistant with:

  • Education – Graduate preferred, but not essential (desired course of study: marketing, communications, event planning, business management or equivalent) – but good command of English – accuracy and creativity etc is imperative.
  • The ability to demonstrate a passion for your ‘place' (towns and communities)
  • The ability to use social media platforms for business – or willingness to learn these
  • Computer proficiency: word-processing, spreadsheet, PowerPoint, and data base management plus the ability to learn new software systems quickly
