On an exclusive basis, greenwellgleeson are recruiting for a no.1 Financial Controller to work for a growing manufacturing business based in Walsall.
Reporting into the MD, duties of the role will include:
- Preparation and reporting of Management Accounts for Group structure
- Managing and developing a small team
- Stressed monthly Cashflow forecasting
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for Ltd & Group Holdings
- Monthly rebate reconciliation
- Deferring income reconciliation monthly.
- Debtor day control calculations and analysis of aged debt
- Sales, purchase and nominal ledger control
- Monetary monthly stock control and reconciliation for multiple locations
- Bill of Materials control and audits
- Head up yearend stock take for all locations
- Fixed Asset register and depreciation reconciliation
- Completion of monthly payroll and compliance and reporting with HMRC, P32, RTI submissions
- Monthly pension reporting to NEST
- Managing the R&D tax credit process
- Quarterly VAT returns using Postponed VAT Accounting process
- Manage FX exposure and currency purchases
- Manage high interest and notice accounts to maximise interest received and monitor working capital
- Prepare and coordinate year end process and liaise with Auditors
- Review and sign off year end statutory accounts and tax computations for MD to authorise
- Co-ordinate and preparation of budget for financial year
- Sage 200 standard online administrator
- Main contact for all banks, along with auditor and external entities for R&D and Patent Box
Skills, Requirements, Qualifications
- Experience working in an SME manufacturing business, ideally at Group level
- Staff management experience
- Experience working with Sage 200
- Experience of FX currency would be an advantage
- Experience of R&D Tax Credits would be an advantage
- Strong Excel Skills
