Key Responsibilities of the Pricing Analyst
- Analyse and interpret data using Excel and Tableau.
- Make informed pricing decisions based on the analysis of internal and external data across multiple price zones.
- Monitor the outcomes of pricing decisions by evaluating performance data across large datasets.
- Respond to competitor analysis.
- Achieve quarterly targets for margin and inventory turnover.
- Delegate tasks within the team.
- Stay up to date on industry-wide and international data trends relevant to the business.
- Prepare performance reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Communicate with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements.
- Develop and refine internal procedures.
Skills & Attributes of the Pricing Analyst
- Prior experience in a pricing/revenue-focused role or in business analytics.
- Analytical, strategic, and data-driven mindset.
- Proven expertise in Excel.
- High numeracy skills with strong statistical capabilities for trend analysis and understanding modelling techniques.
- Strong understanding of supply and demand dynamics.
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Microsoft BI).
- Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of dynamic pricing.
- Experience in management or training.
- Strong industry knowledge, including equipment, competitors, and market trends.
- A Bachelor's degree in economics, business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in an ecommerce or marketplace environment preferred but not essential.
