Our client is an international high-end Italian Restaurant in Central London, and they are looking for an experienced Waiter / Waitress with a proven track record and great leadership skills. This classic Italian restaurant, wine and cocktail bar is housed in a spectacular grade II listed building where there is a magnificent menu created by a renowned Sicilian-born culinary maestro. Based on classic recipes from all over Italy, these wonderful dishes are focused on authenticity and seasonal ingredients.
About the role As Waiter / Waitress you will maintain sanitation standards and assist the floor staff and hosts during peak meal periods. You will be responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant, serving as a contact point for the Floor Manager or AGM and duties include:
- Creating a warm welcome for every guest
- Uncovering guest needs and using the menu to tailor perfect experiences
- Suggesting the right extras - starters, second drinks, puddings, coffees - understanding that service and sales go hand in hand
- Collaboratively working with both Front of House and Back of House to create Great Times for our guests
- Sharing your passion for food with our guests, making sure every dish you serve is perfect.
- Being organised, attentive, focused, and detailed, getting orders spot on every time
- Making sure every guest leaves delighted, wanting to come back for more
- Playing a part in making sure that your restaurant is Looking Fabulous at all times, and is hitting the mark set out in our policies, processes, and guidelines

The hours of work are 40 per week on rota Monday to Saturday. Please bear in mind that hours will increase during busy periods in October, November and December. The restaurant is closed for two weeks over Christmas and New Year. The position of Waiter / Waitress offers a salary of £14 to £16 per hour and benefits include:

About you To be successful for the role of Waiter / Waitress you will Ideally have come from a high-volume, guest-facing leadership role with an understanding of delivering in a branded operation and be someone who:
- Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction
- Can determine the training needs to accomplish goals and then implements the plans
- Has significant experience at a high volume, high-end restaurant
- Can demonstrate knowledge of high-quality Italian food, drinks, and wines
- Displays a passion for Italian food and beverage
- Can work well as part of a large team
- Is fluent in English
