Location: Harrogate District Hospital, HG2 7SX

Trust: Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust

Shift Pattern: 22.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Pay rate: £19.10

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust are currently seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to provide a high quality, responsive service for children aged 0-19 with Speech, Language and Communication needs.

Main duties of the job

  • assess clients and work directly and indirectly to deliver Speech and Language Therapy and/or Dysphagia treatment programmes
  • fulfil a specialism within the team and be at the forefront of latest developments and evidence-based practice and advise other team members.
  • carry out assessment as appropriate and make differential diagnosis.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

  • Speech and Language Therapy graduate (accredited course) with membership of HCPC.
  • Post-graduate Dysphagia qualification - inc. paediatrics
  • Relevant experience at post graduate level of working in school and pre-school settings (mainstream and special schools) and local authority Children Centres.
  • Relevant experience of working with children with a range of SLCN.

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of

  • Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable
