An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Analyst to join an Internationally renowned law Firm.

As the Firm embark on an exciting period of change with the imminent move to a new practice management system (PMS), they are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to help design and develop insightful Management Information reports, as well as contributing with budgeting and forecasting processes within the FP&A team.

Key responsibilities

This is an exceptional opportunity that offers a diverse range of responsibilities and scope for professional growth. Given the significant tasks both prior to and after the launch of new PMS, the key responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Rebuild management information and board reporting: support with requirements gathering and design of dashboards (PowerBI).
  • Pre go live assessment work with the FP&A manager to define the long term reporting strategy.
  • Contributing to budget, planning and forecast process and month end close.
  • Assistance in financial year-end preparation and reporting, including collation of presentations and data for management meetings.
  • Manage the production of regular reporting with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Preparing financials for annual surveys, involving collaboration with other business services teams such as HR, Risk & Compliance, IT etc.
  • Assist with the set-up and management of a client reporting governance framework.
  • Data validation within the new PMS.
  • Liaising with the International Finance teams and sharing best practice with regards to standardised reporting and processes.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support, client reporting and project involvement as required.

Who we are looking for

  • Demonstrated interest in studying for a professional accountancy qualification.
  • Analytical experience from a commercial or professional services environment
  • Excellent numeracy and problem-solving skills.
  • Excel data modelling and data manipulation skills.
  • Experience of using PowerBI or Business Objects.
  • An eye for design and understanding of presenting finance information to non-finance professionals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience communicating to senior stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and able to work within a team and on own initiative.
