Job Tittle: Network Implementation Engineer
Location: Chester (3 days a week onsite)
Contract Length: 12 months
Daily Rate: Circa £600/Day
Working Pattern: out of hours work requirement (including weekends)

What You'll Do:
As a Network Implementation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the hands-on implementation and configuration of devices. You'll be engineering new services into production and collaborating with support teams, lines of business, and third parties to create end-to-end solutions that balance business needs with security, availability, and resiliency.
What We're Looking For:
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
- Networking Expertise: Strong implementation and configuration experience in routing, switching is essential. Proficient in deploying and manipulating dynamic routing protocols and firewall rules.
- Load Balancers & Proxy Devices: Good understanding of load balancers (F5 and AVI) and proxy devices (Skyhigh Web Gateway).
- Cisco Proficiency: Experience with Cisco data switching and routing, including VPN configurations.
- Financial Sector Insight: Familiarity with stock exchange and low-latency trading network connectivity, along with an understanding of the financial institution culture and compliance landscape.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders.
- Innovation Mindset: Willingness to embrace and promote software development to automate network processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and configure network devices while engineering new services for production.
- Collaborate with support teams and third-party vendors to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Elicit, analyse, and document technical application and service requirements.
- Maintain design patterns and contribute to architectural standards.
- Actively participate in the change management process.
- Manage stakeholder requirements across various projects and provide ad-hoc consulting.
- Serve as a 3rd level escalation point for troubleshooting production network issues.
- Identify and manage risks within the network environment.
- Ensure thorough documentation of all changes and updates to the network.
