The Company:

A big Chinese architecture company have just opened up an office in Paddington, London and are in the process of creating their team. They will be working on big residential (mainly houses) projects along with cultural projects (museums) in central London.

The role:

Working as one of the companies lead architects, you will be scheduled to work Monday to Friday and there will be no travel involved.

The salary of this role will be between £25,000 and £45,000 (experience dependent) and also offers a bonus scheme, commission scheme, performance bonuses and yearly bonuses.

The position is initially for a 1-year fixed term contract. If all goes well this will be extended.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients and project teams to develop architectural designs and concepts
  • Create detailed architectural drawings and models using software such as AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, and Sketchup
  • Utilize 3D modelling software like 3ds Max and Grasshopper to create visual representations of architectural designs
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information for design development
  • Develop and present design proposals to clients, incorporating their feedback and making revisions as necessary
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of projects
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet client expectations
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in architectural design

Skills:

  • 3 years' experience in technical design and interior architecture
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Sketchup, 3ds Max, Grasshopper, NavisWorks, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong design skills with the ability to sketch and visualize concepts
  • Knowledge of project management principles and the ability to effectively negotiate with clients and stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and present design ideas to clients
  • Attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate architectural drawings and models
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address design challenges and find innovative solutions
