We are looking for a QHSE Advisor to provide support and specialist advice to depot management teams across two sites. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and transport regulations, including waste permits and duty of care.

The successful candidate will be the responsible for working across the Audenshaw site as well as travel to their sister site in Doncaster.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Work closely with the Group QHSE Director to ensure Health, Safety & Environmental compliance across the depot.
  • Assist the Plant Manager in verifying compliance for all depot activities, including those of customers and sub-contractors.
  • Record KPI information and data.
  • Conduct depot and HQ inspections and ISO internal audits to monitor compliance, including transport.
  • Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and training across multiple locations.
  • Review and maintain depot risk assessments and collaborate with the management team to produce Safe Systems of Work (SSoW).
  • Manage all fire safety tasks, including weekly alarm tests and fire drills.
  • Facilitate and support plant management teams in investigating incidents and recording them in the internal database.
  • Maintain and control the site working plan and assist with hosting visits from external agencies.
  • Host external accreditation audits for ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001.
  • Arrange and record training for all depot staff in conjunction with HR.
  • Act as the point of contact for external stakeholders and issue permits to work as needed.
  • Maintain and update plant master plans and environmental reporting information.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum GCSE in Maths and English.
  • QSHE experience within Waste Management, transport, or manufacturing sector.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety (essential).
  • Experience with environmental and/or quality management systems (desirable).
  • Proficient IT skills, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels – both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively, and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Valid Driver's License.
