Learning Support Assistant - Ashford

Full-time - Monday to Friday - £83.33-£90 per day - ASAP start

Tradewind Recruitment are sourcing for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant Assistant to work in a Special Needs School in Ashford that caters for primary and secondary aged pupils. This is a full-time role to start ASAP and will be a temp to perm contract. There will be training and additional CPD provided too.

The school provides education for children with: Autism (ASD), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), language and communication needs, sensory processing needs, trauma, Opposition Defiant Disorder (ODD) and Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD).

The Role

  • Working as both a main class and dedicated SEN TA. This will be primarily supporting multiple children across Primary and Secondary aged pupils
  • Working on a 1:1 basis providing dedicated Maths and Phonics support.
  • Assessing students' progress and discussing development with Teachers, Parents/Carers, and external agencies if necessary.
  • Undertaking CPD if the role requires it, in which you will be accredited for.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a main class Teaching Assistant would be highly desirable.
  • Driving license and vehicle would be highly beneficial
  • Holding a L2 or L3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with children with SEN within an education, pastoral, or personal setting would be highly desirable
  • Either have, or be willing to get, an enhanced child-only DBS on the update service.
  • Must have right to work in the UK
