Campaigns Manager

The Company:

Our client is one of Europe's largest campaigning charities, they are based in central Bristol

The Job:

They are seeking a Campaigns Manager. In this role you will be responsible for the management and creative leadership of their campaigns team, ensuring the excellent, on-time, and high impact delivery of campaigns. You will excel in developing strategies, plans, and tactics, demonstrating strong organisational skills, innovation, and effective problem-solving. You will have to work with a budget and meet deadlines for multiple campaigns. You will need to manage the organisation's output effectively and intervene if things are going off-track.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Lead, manage, and empower the campaigns team to develop and deliver campaigns strategies
  • Research, develop, and implement campaign strategies
  • Enhance existing campaigns through new events, creative materials, ads, and social media
  • Oversee and edit campaign content, ensuring high-quality and adherence to brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to produce engaging media releases and actively engage with journalists
  • Collaborate with Social Media Manager to ensure campaigns are well represented and campaigns' strategies fulfilled
  • Manage a team of campaigners, Head of Investigation, Head of Research, and content creators
  • Provide training, resources, and support to ensure the team's effectiveness
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on campaign effectiveness, conducting regular debriefs
  • Act as a spokesperson and represent the charity in media interviews (training will be given)
  • Promote campaigns through various channels and collaborate with other teams.
  • Lead the organisation and prioritisation of campaign events and participate in regional and national activities
  • Produce reports and communicate regularly with the Directors on all areas of work
  • Produce high donor reports on campaigns
  • Assist with production of grant applications for campaigns

The Person:

For this role they are seeking the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in outstanding campaign/project execution, preferably in campaigning, comms/marketing, advertising agency or PR.
  • Direct management experience with staff, freelancers, including mentoring members of staff who are new to the team and leading in annual appraisals
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills for digital and print materials.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and collaborative
  • Adept at working to tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills, interpreting KPIs to improve campaign strategies.
  • Flair for creating engaging video, graphics, blogs, and other communications content.
  • Ability to deliver high quality work, quickly, in a dynamic organisation under time constraints
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Drivers licence would be preferred

The Salary:

£33,500 - £38,000
