Technical Business Analyst

Job Title: Technical Business Analyst
Job Type: Full-time
Reports To: Head of Technology

Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs, explore alternative solutions, and manage project inputs and actions.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and project evaluations effectively, ensuring lessons learned are documented and shared.
  • Partner with clients, development teams, senior project managers, and subject matter experts to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
  • Represent IT in project meetings, ensuring business needs are fully understood and addressed.

Requirements Development & Solution Design:

  • Elicit and document functional and non-functional system requirements following best practices.
  • Develop detailed specifications and recommendations that reconcile stakeholder needs.
  • Assess and communicate the impact of proposed solutions on systems and processes, including web portals, CRMs, and bespoke software platforms.
  • Identify technical risks and resource requirements and engage with third-party suppliers to implement technical solutions when necessary.
  • Oversee testing and implementation of system developments, upgrades, and changes, ensuring adherence to organisational standards.

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Provide end-to-end visibility of customer processes, identifying areas for improvement and advocating for efficiency on behalf of users.
  • Ensure IT deliverables meet high-quality standards, are delivered on time, and align with customer expectations.
  • Manage technical aspects throughout all project phases, from discovery to post-implementation evaluation.
  • Proactively resolve and escalate issues as needed to ensure project success.

Technical Support & System Configuration Management:

  • Assist in configuring CRM and other internal applications to support new developments and maintain business processes.
  • Develop processes to ensure database quality, including error prevention and correction.
  • Investigate and monitor technical issues, support troubleshooting efforts, and adhere to change management protocols.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including 'how-to' guides.
  • Collaborate with IT partners and software vendors to analyse and support systems.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in systems analysis, design, and eliciting business requirements to create detailed technical specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with database management systems (e.g., CRM, ERP) and large data sets, including query building and report analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in office administration, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, collaborating effectively with both internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Creative, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks effectively under pressure.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Professional Business Analyst Certification (e.g., ISEB), or equivalent qualification.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience across all stages of the project life cycle, from initiation to closure.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Familiarity with industry-specific processes and regulations.

Minimum Experience: 4+ years

Salary: Between £33,000 to £37,000

Location: London with flexible hours and flexibility to work from home for few days in a week. Must be able to visit client locations minimum two days per week along with flexible travelling between multiple office locations and various client locations.
