Job Title: Product Planner
Location: Telford
Reports to: Purchasing Lead
Purpose of Post: Part of a small team with overall responsibility for; material supply and inventory holdings from a range of selected suppliers and product categories to ensure product availability and maximum inventory efficiency and performance
Key Areas of responsibility:
Management of company inventory;
- Monitoring of product sales, forecasting of future demand patterns and setting run rates for supply, reviewing, monitoring and maintaining accuracy
- Overseeing and raising purchase orders against internal and external suppliers, in line with supplier purchasing rules and demand planning policies
- Overseeing and Expediting / De-expediting purchase orders to meet both customer and business demands in line with supplier stocking policies
- Sku management, performance and review to ensure optimum stocking policy setting and efficiency of stock holdings within targeted guidelines (Availability, Value and Stock Turn)
- Life cycle management and maintenance in conjunction with Product Managers, including NPO and End of Life management
- Supplier performance monitoring, review and reporting
- Resolution and negotiation of commercial issues associated with supplier terms and conditions

Education: Degree educated
CIPS - Ideally Required
Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years purchasing and supply
