Reed Further Education are currently looking for a Games Design Teacher for a college based in Manchester.

Role: Games Design Teacher

Locations: Manchester

Hours: Full-time equivalent

Contract type: Permanent (All year round)

Salary: £26,444-£43,795 (Dependant on experience)

What the role entails

Our client being a further education college are looking to appoint a suitably qualified, dynamic Teacher of Games Design. Now is an exciting time to join their growing department which offers students the highest standard of Digital education across a variety of courses. The successful applicant will be able to teach levels 1-3 and understands BTEC and OCR awarding bodies.

What we need from you

To be successful in the role, you will need:

  • A teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd or equivalent) preferably with an SEN specialism
  • A good honours degree in a relevant subject discipline or significant experience within the Games industry.
  • A good knowledge and experience in 3DsMax, with an understanding in Maya and or Blender.
  • Knowledge of games design software (Unreal Engine) as well as Adobe Products, some experience in Revit/Unity would be useful.
  • Familiar with conceptual and design pipeline process of games art and product development.
  • Track record of effective teaching in subject specialism
  • Gain/hold and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
