Key Account Manager, Bespoke products

This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative individual who loves trend, product, and building genuine and long-lasting relationships. Working within an environmentally conscious, fun, and trend-driven company, you will work directly with the buyers at the leading global retailers creating innovative and commercial bespoke product ranges for them.

The successful candidate will have experience building strong relationships with and developing products for leading retailers. Being both product and sales focussed, you will work with the buyers on new product/range ideas, looking at innovation identifying gaps in the market and opportunities to grow the business, and work closely with the PD team to bring these ideas to life.

Duties & responsibilities for this Bespoke Key Account Manager include:

  • Build a thorough knowledge of both customer and competitor product ranges, identifying new opportunities and new product categories
  • Establish strong and genuine relationships with key decision makers, building a reputation where you are known for innovation, commitment, and delivery
  • Assess and identify gaps in the market, delivering new market trends to grow key accounts and reach forecasted sales targets
  • Lead regular meetings with your accounts to ensure expectations are exceeded, presenting new ranges, innovation, and USPs to achieve maximum sales.
  • Use sales knowledge for next season preparation, ensuring product direction is communicated to PD & Design teams
  • Negotiate costs with PD and customers to maintain minimum target margins
  • Sign off customer products at all stages of order progression, communicating any amends to PD ahead of bulk production
  • Critical path management to ensure key dates are met
  • Liaise with all internal teams to ensure fluidity of communication and overall understanding of customers and orders, including any special requirements
  • Produce reports that identify areas for growth and improvement across each account, using this to demonstrate strategy with wider departments
  • Submit annual customer budget to Head of Key accounts, adjusting budget/forecast throughout the season at monthly sales meetings

Experience & requirements for this Bespoke Key Account Manager position:

  • 4+ years' experience in a similar sales/product driven role, working directly with buyers on bespoke ranges
  • A passion for product and a keen interest in market trends to identify and maximise opportunities and innovation throughout the product development process
  • Ability to manage complex bespoke accounts, with a desire to grow and develop accounts
  • First class communicator, skilled at building relationships internally & externally at all levels, and expert negotiating skills
  • Fantastic attention to detail with a strong understanding of forecasting and report analysis
  • Proactive and driven, with a deadline drive approach
