Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with a leading and well-established retail business based in Swindon to recruit a Finance Manager on a permanent basis. This role will be responsible for a team of 2 and will be pivotal in overseeing the accounting for multiple entities within the group.
The role
The Finance Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the performance and profitability of multiple retail operations and will be pivotal in managing business relationships. You will manage two direct reports who are keen to develop and be mentored, and previous line management/supervisory experience is essential. This position offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact within a large, fast-paced retail environment. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Budgeting and forecasting.
- Managing 2 direct reports (1 qualified and 1 studying).
- Financial analysis to include margin analysis and reviewing profitability.
- Business partnering with internal stakeholders both within and outside of finance.
- Travel to the London office initially to build internal relationships and understand the wider business.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts.
- Reviewing the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts.
Profile
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified with 3+ years PQE.
- Previous experience in a medium to large business, preferably retail.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Excel).
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Package
- £55,000 - 65,000 + bonus (up to 20%) + private medical.
