Reed Accountancy is currently assisting an established client in the Horsham area who are seeking a Finance Assistant to join their existing team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will gain hands-on experience across the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and wider Transactional Finance Functions.
As Finance Assistant responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed customer records and create new customer accounts
- Maintain accurate and detailed supplier records and create new supplier accounts
- Assist with daily and monthly bank reconciliations (multiple currency accounts).
- Assist with processing credit card transactions
- Assist Finance Manager with weekly reporting and month-end duties
Qualifications, Experience and Skills required:
- Previous accounts experience and working knowledge of Sage
- Ideally active AAT studier
- Intermediate to Advanced level of Excel and Microsoft skills
- Experience of working with multiple currencies
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
