Operations Integration Manager - Mergers And Acquisitions

Reed Financial Servies are pleased to be supporting a leading Wealth Planning business in Bristol on the search for a Operations Integration Manager.

This is a hybrid role, need to be in the office 3 days a week, so ideally close to Bristol, or reasonable commutable distance. This is not a project management role, they are looking for someone who is a pure generalist, rolling up sleeves and delivery on the outputs from the projects and focus will be integrating the business from an ops point of view on the back of rapid M&A.

The Operations Integration Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless integration of processes, policies, workflows, data sets and configurations for newly acquired businesses within the Advice Pillar, in particular, putting into action what comes out of the integration project meetings.

Their primary focus is on establishing consistency and alignment across the Advice Pillar by supporting the Managing Director plan and deliver the critical integration activities in a timely, methodical, and diligent manner. Supporting the wider business with M&A ops integration efforts, working closely with the integration group project manager, the Head of Operations, the wider Senior Management and Management teams. A true generalist in nature.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute M&A ops integrations of existing processes and configurations for newly acquired businesses into the Advice Pillar, ensuring alignment and consistency across the Advice Pillar.
  • Partner and collaborate closely with the Group M&A integration project managers and the Head of Operations, and ops management teams within the Advice Pillar
  • Translate the vision and requirements of the Managing Director into an operational reality.
  • When appropriate, host and facilitate training sessions for both individuals and groups to ensure successful integration and adoption of new processes.
  • Deliver presentations to communicate integration plans, progress, and outcomes to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the wider business with M&A integration initiatives, collaborating with senior management, operations management, and key stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition of processes.
  • Work closely with senior management, operations management, and key stakeholders to deliver a seamless transition of processes, providing guidance and support throughout the integration process.
  • Take ownership of key Intelligent Office (IO) relationships, ensuring that IO integrations are meticulously planned to minimise disruption and maximise efficiency.
  • Utilise data analysis skills to extract and analyse relevant data from systems, providing insights and ideas for process optimisation and improvement.

Kowledge required

  • Well versed in ops integrations work within financial planning firms
  • Extensive understanding of Operational Processes
  • Sound Insight of the Financial Services Sector
  • Intelligent Office (IO) Software Proficiency
  • Awareness of Business Structures and Responsibilities
  • Extensive knowledge and application of Continuous Improvement Practices
  • Understanding of Change Management methodologies
  • Knowledge and foresight with regard to Risk Management

Qualifications and experience

  • Essential: 5 + years of M&A Ops integration experience
  • Essential: Experience in ops integration and improvement within a financial planning business
  • Industry Regulations and Compliance Awareness
  • Desirable: Agile Project Management Methodologies Knowledge
