Safety Training Manager

Would you like to make a difference to learners by passing on your experience, knowledge, and practical skills?

We are looking for a Safety Training Manager to join our Education department. You will focus on delivering engaging and informative safety training courses both virtually and in person, and you will play a key part in developing new courses to ensure ongoing engagement.

This remote role involves travel to various sites across the UK.

What you'll be doing...

As a Safety Trainer, you will:

  • Conduct "Managing Safety" training for new managers to set them up for success.
  • Train Cook Managers and Operations Managers to improve Health & Safety performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Level 2&3 training requirements.
  • Serve as a Highfield troubleshooter and trainer to help teams utilize the system effectively.
  • Conduct training sessions on-site and via Teams for both large and small teams across the business.
  • Provide on-site training post-audit failure to reduce critical fails and save costs.
  • Support data management, analyze training compliance, and share insights with management to focus on high-risk areas.
  • Improve training content as needed.
  • Train on sections or topics that address visible trends and potential incident areas.

Working Pattern: Mon-Fri

What can you bring?

We use various IT systems, so the role is ideal for someone with strong IT skills who can adapt quickly.

Qualifications Needed:

  • NVQ level and above in training.

Any of the following:

  • NEBOSH National Certificate
  • NVQ/SVQ Level 3, 4, 5, or 6 in Occupational Safety and Health
  • Health and Safety degree
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (Parts 2, Units A, B, C, and D)
  • Diploma Safety Management Level 6
  • Food Safety Level 4 qualification
  • HACCP Level 4

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years in a training management role within health and safety or food safety.

Essential Skills and Criteria:

  • Competency across several disciplines or willingness to develop these skills

Adult Teaching Qualification (AET) or equivalent, or willingness to obtain it

We are offering up to £45,000 PA + Travel or Car option

Minimum 2 nights weekly overnight costs £250 approx.
