Broster Buchanan are delighted to be supporting a growing Birmingham based Technology business with their recruitment of a Finance Director, on a Permanent basis.
The role of Finance Director will report to the UK Managing Director and they will be responsible for leading a team who provide world class financial reporting, business information and support services. The Finance Director will be expected to ensure that all finance and administration systems, processes and procedures meet the current operational needs of the business, as well as future proofing them to ensure seamless future growth.
Key responsibilities will include:
- The provision of commercial/financial support to the UK business and SLT
- Recruiting, leading and motivating the finance/procurement/HR teams ensuring appropriate KPIs are in place and deadlines are achieved
- The production of financial planning including budgets and forecasting
- Delivery of full business performance analysis for historic and future performance to enable appropriate commercial and strategic decision making
- Overseeing all transactions and processing systems
- Local production for all Group reporting requirements
- Managing the half yearly and annual audits
- Meeting all statutory reporting requirements including preparation of UK Statutory Accounts and tax returns
- Responsibility for the financial integration of new mergers and acquisitions for the UK business
- Management of all UK cashflow forecasting
- Assessing and managing all business risk, as well as identifying opportunities for further improvement
- Supporting the business's strategic development activities by providing competitor reporting and benchmarking and suggesting ideas for growth/expansion or cost saving initiatives
- Assisting with or leading additional project work where required, as directed by the UK MD or the Group Chief Finance Officer
The successful Candidate is likely to be a Professionally Qualified individual with extensive experience in senior finance leadership positions. They will be an effective communicator who builds lasting business relationships and can influence at all levels within business. This role requires a hand's-on approach to work, as well as the ability to lead and delegate. Candidates will possess demonstrable experience of challenging the status quo and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
Our Client is offering a Salary of £90,000 + £100,000 + Package
