My client is within the Banking and Settlement domain and they are keen to hire an exceptional Azure Cloud Engineer on freelance contract for 1 year.

Remote working is allowed however you will be needed on-site for team meetings in Paris or Brussels location.

As a consultant with an experience in engineering Azure cloud technologies, you will:

Your mission:

As an Azure Cloud Engineer you provide application software development services and technical support in order to:

analyze the IT Products requirements, and translate into the Terraform solution
design, implement, and maintain robust and efficient IT Product infrastructure using Terraform and Azure DevOps
collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration of Terraform modules provided by Technology Services colleagues
focus is on reliability, security, and scalability, while adhering to best practices defined by the Technology Services colleagues
code, test, debug, document, implement and maintain Terraform and YAML pipelines
liaise with Technology Services teams to address infrastructure issues and to ensure that the components and software's used on the platform are all consistent

Your qualifications:

Terraform: Proficiency in writing Terraform code to provision and manage infrastructure resources as modules.
Azure DevOps (or similar CI/CD tools): Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using YAML templates.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Understanding of IaC principles and best practices.
Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially Azure).
Scripting: Ability to write scripts (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for automation.

Collaboration: Effective communication and teamwork with cross-functional teams.
Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset to troubleshoot issues and optimize infrastructure.
Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and reliability in infrastructure code.
Strong analytical thinking and interest in the financial industry
Have a true agile mindset: capable and willing to take on tasks outside of your core competencies to help the team
Experience in delivering cross-functional multi-platform designs, to be used in mission-critical contexts (real-time criticality & high resilience)
