Education Support Assistant
Salary: £21,497 prorated
Hours: 35 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year (TTO + INSET)
Contract Type: 1-year fixed term until 31/08/2025

About the Role:
As an Education Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the pastoral provision. Your responsibilities will include:
- Targeted Interventions: You'll plan and deliver targeted interventions for identified KS4 students who require additional support. These interventions aim to help students achieve their academic goals.
- Maintaining High Expectations: Working closely with students, you'll encourage high expectations and help them identify their personal aspirations.
- Core Subject Support: You'll assist students as they work independently on their core subjects, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Off-Site Activities: Occasionally, you may accompany students to off-site activities, ensuring their safety and engagement.
Experience and Expectations:
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Experience: Previous experience working in a similar educational setting or with students with special educational needs (SEND) is desirable.
- Passion: A genuine passion for supporting students' growth and development.
- Adaptability: The ability to adapt to different situations and student needs.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with students, teachers, and parents.
