Join a thriving food manufacturing business that provides high-quality chilled products to the food-to-go, wholesale, and catering markets. We are seeking a Technical Quality Coordinator to join our strong and capable team. This role is perfect for someone with extensive experience in the QA or Technical department, ready to start with minimal training and contribute to our continuous growth.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Split role between factory (60%) and office (40%) with flexibility required.
  • Perform day-to-day technical and quality duties including sampling, checks, tests, swabbing, and other conformance requirements.
  • Conduct raw material sampling and testing, chemical titration, and taste panels, ensuring all documentation is completed and results are logged.
  • Maintain audit readiness of the factory and uphold strict GMP standards across the manufacturing site.
  • Conduct regular spot checks on all manufacturing and packing areas, including paperwork to ensure correct completion.
  • Perform fabrication audits and report issues to the Technical Manager.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other departments to foster understanding and awareness.
  • Deliver specific training, toolbox talks, and create or amend product specifications, QAS, and recipe cards.
  • Implement corrective actions as required and keep records up-to-date.
  • Conduct documented investigations and close out non-conformances using root cause analysis.
  • File all production paperwork daily and monitor, control, and document hygiene and housekeeping.
  • Calibrate measuring equipment and collaborate with production teams to ensure compliance and smooth operations.
  • Ensure food safety and quality systems are consistently applied from paper to shop floor activities.
  • Communicate with shop floor staff to understand and address technical/quality issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing business within a technical/QA department is essential.
  • Knowledge of Food Safety, Quality Systems, BRCGS, and HACCP is essential.
  • Strong passion for quality and technical aspects with ambitions for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills, team-oriented yet able to work independently.
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and efficiency.
