Accounts Assistant
We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a company based in Witham on a full time, permanent basis. Hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. The is a fully office-based role with free parking. The modern offices overlook the countryside and the company offer a great team orientated culture.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Entering, coding, and preparing invoices onto the accounting software
- Dealing with supplier queries to ensure that invoices are processed for payment correctly
- Updating supplier details and setting up new suppliers and expenses onto the system
- Helping with monthly reporting on purchase ledger
- Reconciling supplier accounts for the month end processes
- Processing monthly payroll, dealing with payroll queries, and providing cover on the weekly payroll
- Supporting with ad-hoc duties for other departments when required
Candidate requirements:
- Experience in a similar Accounts position
- Proven payroll processing experience is essential
- Good use of MS Excel and Outlook
- Excellent timekeeping skills and ability to work in a team environment
To be successful for this position, you must have excellent communication and organisation skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise to deadlines. You will be looking after all aspects of the purchase ledger and providing cover for payroll; therefore, you must have strong payroll and purchase ledger experience and at least 2-3 years accounting experience.
