Payroll and Benefits Specialist

We are looking for an HR Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join our ambitious firm with a clear strategy for growth. This role offers early responsibility and involvement in expanding the business. Day to Day of the role:

  • Manage the monthly payroll for 700 employees using Workday, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with the HR Operations team and support the payroll assistant with day-to-day payroll duties.
  • Handle month-end and year-end payroll processes and reporting, including P11d(b) and P60.
  • Manage Dubai payroll and the DEWS system, liaising with the HR Ops team in Dubai.
  • Assist in overseeing global benefits, including harmonising and modernising benefits globally.
  • Conduct market reviews for benefits such as private medical insurance and group risk policies.
  • Manage UK auto-enrolment and pension administration.
  • Administer UK employee benefits and participate in the internal HR wellbeing working group.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with benefits and pensions providers.
  • Provide assistance to UK employees and partners on payroll, benefits, and pension-related queries.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date documentation and processes, and participate in projects to improve efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, including UK and EMEA benefits management.
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing process and service improvements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for complex data manipulation and interpretation.
  • Experience with Workday and ideally with Darwin.
  • Experience in a mainstream HR role is desirable.
  • Experience in a partnership and/or law firm is desirable.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
