Our client, a logistics company based in Tamworth, is seeking a Warehouse Delivery Driver to join their team. This is a full-time temporary to permanent position.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Must have Delivery driving experience and FLT counterbalance experience!
- Collecting stock from numerous customer locations hubs and delivering into the warehouse.
- Communicating with all stakeholders to ensure the efficient receipt and delivery of products.
- Ensuring the customer receives a first-class service.
- Driving safely and following all driving laws and rules to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Loading and unloading deliveries, using manual handling best practises to lift goods.
- Coordinating and monitoring the receipt, order, and despatch of goods.
- Loading and unloading deliveries accurately and maintaining safe load systems using manual handling or forklift equipment.
- Scanning and sorting parcels onto the delivery van.
- Liaising with customers to provide a faultless service.
- General maintenance of the company vehicle to ensure compliance with vehicle regulations.
- Updating and maintaining system accuracy for all movements.
- Demonstrating a keen eye for detail and working well under pressure.
- Maintaining a safe working environment by complying with statutory law, company policy, and health and safety guidelines.
- Liaising with all internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Performing any other ad-hoc duties as required, including general warehouse duties.
Applicant Criteria:
- Strong work ethic with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good knowledge of health and safety regulations and manual handling techniques.
- Administration skills, including Microsoft Office experience.
- Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff and facilitate customer needs.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to be flexible.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a willingness to cooperate and work effectively as part of a team.
- Full clean driving licence is required.
- Forklift licence is required.
