Project Manager (Interim)

A local council who is responsible for employing nearly 350 staff, and delivering over 150 council services, both statutory and for the community's well-being and benefit. They aims to provide high-quality and financially sustainable services while prioritising outstanding customer service, transparency in decision-making, and promoting local democracy. Accountabilities
- To act as the project manager for the delivery of a service improvement plan or delivery of complex service based projects.
- To identify and or refine project requirements, delivery timelines and costs.
- To report to and liaise with senior management, leading member and partners and compile, submit and explain project status reports.
- Monitoring project performance to ensure timely delivery and produce highlight reports.
- Identifying and assigning project tasks based on the skill sets, experience and strengths of staff members.
- To develop and maintain the detailed project plans, and adapt if required to any changing needs and requirements.
- To assist staff on process mapping, provide suitable challenge as to the effectiveness of processes and help develop solutions to improve services.
- Working effectively with relevant stakeholders for efficient project implementation.
- Developing excellent leadership, customer relations and communication skills to liaise effectively with all project stakeholders.
The Experience You Will Bring
- Experienced Project Manager in local government/housing associations and preferably in housing or with a good understanding of housing functions
- Confidence to report on and explain any variations from the programme, but also to identify early any issues and put remedial options in place
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders
- There may be a need to attend some evening meetings
