Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading Food Supplier in their search for an HR Officer to work from their site in Shrewsbury.
For the successful HR Officer our client is offering:
- Salary £30,000 - £32,000 per annum
- Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
- Permanent

The role - HR Officer:
- Prepare offer letters and contracts for all new starters, carry out all on-boarding and off-boarding processes
- Reference checks, right to work checks, preparation of new starter's paperwork, transfer new starter's information, induction processes, and exit interviews
- Lead on recruitment activities, coordinating interviews, attending interviews, and liaising with agencies or recruiters as needed
- Provide staff induction training sessions, organize Health &Safety Trainings, skills trainings
- Assist in provide HR support by answering general employee inquiries and responding to requests regarding their employment and contracts, escalating when necessary
- Manage employee relations issues, including Maternity and Paternity Leave, absence, investigations, Disciplinaries and Grievances, performance management
- Manage absence including long term sickness and absence triggers
- Assist with the payroll process
- Assist in updating company employment contracts, company handbook, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation
- Enforcing HR policies/practices
- Process visa applications
What our client is looking for in a HR Officer:
- Over 2 years experience working in a HR Officer / Human Resources role - ESSENTIAL
- CIPD Qualified - DESIREABLE
- Degree Educated - DESIREABLE
- Good grasp of employment legislation (UK) as well as right to work VISA processes, and employee welfare
