Job Title: Group Scrum Master (Chassis Engineering)

Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire / Hybrid (Minimum 3 days on site in Gaydon)

Rate: £45.26ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £34.20ph PAYE

Employment Type: Contract (Currently financed until 31/03/2025)

Hours: Standard 40 Hours Per Week

Our client's Body Chassis Engineering is seeking a skilled and experienced Group Scrum Master to join our Interiors Domain. As a Group Scrum Master, the candidate will play a crucial role in enabling our Engineering Leadership Team to deliver exceptional results within a Scaled Agile Framework.

The candidate will collaborate closely with Squad, Group and Domain Scrum Masters, ensuring adherence to Agile Processes while swiftly removing obstacles and distractions that hinder the team progress. The candidate will also have an essential role in prioritising groups workload, alongside the Group Leads and creating an engaging/innovative Agile environment. This position requires excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, as well as a passion for Agile practices in a fast-paced automotive engineering environment.

In the role of Scrum Master, candidate will not only enable the leadership team to effectively deliver within a Scaled Agile Framework but also play a pivotal role in coaching and developing key stakeholders and other Scrum Masters. The candidate will coach the Chapter Product Owner (PO) on their responsibilities, including maintaining a clear product roadmap, cascading information to other Group Scrum Masters in the domain, facilitating stakeholder engagement, and ensuring alignment on priorities across squads.

Additionally, candidate will provide guidance to the Chapter Leadership on agile behaviours, empowering squads to be self-organized. Collaborating with Agile Coaches and work towards embedding Agile Processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. By leveraging expertise and experience, candidate will contribute to the growth and development of the Team Members, ensuring a truly agile environment.

Skills Required:

  • Prior experience in a Scrum Master or Agile Coach role, preferably within the Automotive Engineering Industry.
  • Expert knowledge of Agile principles and their practical application.
  • Proficiency in Atlassian Jira and Confluence to manage team backlog and delivery efficiently.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in a Scrum Master or Agile Coach role, preferably within the Automotive.
  • Engineering industry qualified experience of Agile at Scale (e.g., Leading SAFe).
  • Experience in enterprise-level Stakeholder Management.
  • Expert knowledge of Agile principles and their practical application.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced delivery environment.
  • Proficiency in Atlassian Jira and Confluence to manage team backlog and delivery efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and thrive in a large business environment.
  • Candidates need to be experienced Scrum Masters.

Experience Preferred:

  • Desirable Experience and Qualifications: Automotive engineering experience.
  • Product owner skills/experience.
  • Facilitation/Training experience.
  • RTE (Release Train Engineer) experience/skills.
  • The candidate has to gain confidence, be visible and learn about the complexities of our organisation.

Additional Information:

Hybird working: 3 days onsite minimum, (GAYDON) - 2 days remote.
Initial 4 weeks the candidates may need to be onsite 5 days.
