What you'll do:
As an IT Category Manager, your role will be pivotal in driving transformation programmes within the organisation. You will be involved in sourcing projects, negotiating statements of work, and supporting business cases for budget provision. Your expertise in software licensing models will be crucial in offering advice on costs and budgets. Leveraging your knowledge of the IT and digital markets, you will drive innovation within the company. Your ability to build positive relationships will see you acting as a procurement business partner to colleagues at all levels. Furthermore, your proactive approach to contract management will help monitor and minimise risk.
- Deliver transformation programmes by participating in sourcing projects, negotiating statements of work, supporting business cases for budget provision, and participating in project governance
- Run supplier governance processes with key suppliers supporting the programme
- Develop a strong understanding of associated software licensing models
- Offer advice and challenge on costs and budgets
- Drive innovation through leveraging knowledge of the IT and digital markets
- Build positive relationships with colleagues at all levels, acting as a procurement business partner
- Monitor and minimise risk through proactive contract management, working closely with legal teams to ensure contracts are effective
