Technical Sales Engineer
Are you an enthusiastic and driven professional with a knack for sales and a technical mind? We are seeking a dedicated Technical Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team based in Colchester.
About the Role
In this role, you will be pivotal in supporting customers across a diverse range of industries, helping them find the best solutions from our market-leading range of dust, fume, and mist extraction products. You will engage closely with customers, both from our office and through occasional site visits and industry exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Knowledge: Become an expert in our extensive range of dust, fume, and mist extraction units.
- Customer Interaction: Serve as the initial point of contact for customer inquiries.
- Sales Development: Drive and close sales across all product ranges to achieve company targets.
- Quotation Production: Generate quotes for new units, spare parts, and services.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to ensure exceptional customer care.
- Record Maintenance: Keep accurate customer records and manage our CRM system.
- Technical Support: Provide technical advice to both existing and prospective customers.

- Strong sales and customer relationship skills

- Technically minded with an understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- A valid driving license
Preferred Experience
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is essential.
- Specific experience in dust and fume extraction sales is a plus, but not mandatory as on-the-job training will be provided.

- Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year, based on experience.
- Bonus Scheme: Opportunities for additional earnings through commission and performance bonuses.
